Day 1: 9/17/05
Arrive at LAX Airport at your leisure. Transfer to Hotel is on your own using the many methods offered at the airport,
including shuttle services or taxi. You will check in at the Hollywood Holiday Inn on Highland Ave., which is right in the
middle of Hollywood, near the Walk of Fame & Chinese Theater. After you’ve checked, you are invited to a “Meet &
Greet” Social at the Hotel that evening, where you can meet those in the group that have joined you on your adventure. After
that the night is yours to do as you please.
Day 2: 9/18/05
Enjoy a hot Buffet Breakfast before we take off to local Kingdom Halls on Sunday morning. Our deluxe motorcoach service
will meet us at the Hotel and take us to TWO area Kingdom Halls where we will enjoy an afternoon meeting. After which,
we will stop at a great restaurant in town for an early supper, which is on your own. After dinner, we’ll be brought back to
our hotel rooms, and the night is free for you to do as you wish. (B)
Day 3: 9/19/05
Enjoy a hot Buffet Breakfast before we head out to “Discover the West Coast”. Our tour bus leaves the hotel at 9:00 AM.
Stops along the way will include: The Walk of Fame, Mann’s Chinese Theater, Downtown Los Angeles, Beverly Hills /
Rodeo Drive, the Hollywood Sign, Farmer’s Market and Venice Beach, among others. Lunch is on your own at Farmer’s
Market, where we will make our longest stop. We are also planning on securing tickets to view a live taping of THE PRICE
IS RIGHT at CBS Studios! Too soon now to get the tickets, but we will definitely try. Our tour ends that evening back at
the Hotel, where dinner is on your own and the night is free to do as you wish. (B)
Day 4: 9/20/05
We may enjoy one final Breakfast at our hotel before being taken by motorcoach to LAX Airport, where we will board our
Southwest flight bound for Las Vegas. For those not wishing to fly, but to take Greyhound bus service (approx. 6 hour trip),
the bus will drop these passengers off at the LAX Greyhound Terminal in town to catch your bus. Upon arrival to Las
Vegas, we will be whisked away in our deluxe motorcoach to the Stratosphere Hotel, one of the most famous hotels in Las
Vegas, with a tower in the likeness of the Seattle Needle. Our private group coordinators will greet us off the bus to quickly
check us in through a private hotel entrance, away from the hustle and bustle of the gambling public. You may wish to retire
for the evening or venture out and see this beautiful town lit up at night! It’s up to you…. (B)
Day 5: 9/21/05
This day is free for you to do as you please. Enjoy a Buffet Breakfast / Brunch (served 7 am til 3 pm!) on this day.
Afterwards, do absolutely nothing or take one of many tours of the Vegas area offered through the hotel. Visit the Shark
Reef at Mandalay Bay, or the Star Trek experience at the Hilton. Perhaps you’d like to test your endurance on one of the
roller coasters located at the Top of the Tower at the Stratosphere. Or you can go to the New York, New York hotel and
ride the coaster there! Whatever you choose to do, the choices in Vegas are ENDLESS for family fun! That evening is free
to you also. (B/Br)
Day 6: 9/22/05
Take advantage of the Buffet Breakfast this morning, before we venture out to our Hoover Dam tour. Our deluxe tour bus
will pick us up and take us over to Hoover Dam. NOTE: Due to increased security, no purses, large bags, etc. will be
allowed on this tour. Only a small camera bag is permitted in the Dam area. We will tour the Dam, then enjoy a Buffet lunch
in town. After which we will tour Ethel M’s Chocolate Factory and sample a piece of chocolate! Approx. tour time is 4.5
hours. We will be brought back to hotel in time to rest up and enjoy your last night in Vegas. Perhaps you can venture
Downtown and see the Fremont Street Light Experience, which is the largest light show display in the USA! (B, L)
Day 7: 9/23/05
We check out of the hotel VERY early this morning, as our tour bus will pick us up at around 6 AM, for our trip to the Grand
Canyon. The trip to the South Rim of the Canyon is approximately 5-6 hours, depending on traffic. We will have the option
of stopping in Williams on the way for those that wish to eat or shop before getting to the Canyon. Once we arrive at the
Canyon, we will be free to explore the Canyon by whatever means we wish. View it from the vistas provided; schedule a
helicopter ride; ride the raft on the Colorado River; or hop on a mule and travel down the Canyon. It’s up to you how you’d
like to enjoy this beautiful marvel of nature. Remember to stick around ‘til sunset to enjoy the most beautiful sunset you’ve
ever seen. We will check in this evening at the Yavapai Lodge, which is right inside the Canyon perimeters. Dinner is on
your own this evening.
Day 8: 9/24/05
Rise early to witness the awe of a Sunrise at the Grand Canyon. You will have time to purchase breakfast at the Yavapai
Cafeteria before we depart for Sedona. Upon arrival in Sedona, we will be taken by “Pink Jeeps” over the Red Rock
Canyons, witnessing more beauty. After our adventurous tour, we will stop to eat lunch right there surrounded by Jehovah’s
creation! It will definitely be a Kodak moment. After our 3 hour tour and lunch, we board the bus again for Phoenix, our
final stop on the trip. Here we will check in at our Airport hotel for the night. (L)
Day 9: 9/25/05
Complimentary shuttle service to Phoenix Airport, where we will board our flights headed back home.
