Frequently Asked Questions
|
Q: Is there a payment deadline for this Cruise?
A: We ask that a deposit be submitted within 2 weeks of registration to
guarantee pricing.
Q: How long can I hold a cabin without a deposit?
A: We put a courtesy hold on a Double cabin for TWO WEEKS after
registration is received. After 2 weeks, if no deposit is received, the cabin is
released. Triple & Quad Cabins have a different deposit requirement (see
Question re: Triples & Quads)
Q: What do the rates include / do not include?
A: The cruise rates include: the cruise cost, port charges, government taxes,
fuel surcharges of $9.00 per day per person, and all fees. The rates do NOT
include: airfare, gratuities of $10.00 per day per person, ground transfers
(shuttle) from airport, or travel insurance. All of these items are available upon
request and can be paid for prior to your cruise.
Q: This cruise looks a little different than the one you offered back in late Summer 2008. What has changed?
A: We originally had an 8 night itinerary on the Carnival Liberty that included La Romana, Dominican Republic. On October
31, 2008 we were informed that Carnival was doing away with the 8 night itinerary on the Carnival Liberty, and offered us a
similar itinerary on the Carnival Glory for less money, and similar ports of call. The main difference in this cruise compared
with our first one is that the La Romana port is no longer part of our itinerary.
Q: Why should we book our Airfare with Carnival Cruise Lines?
A: Carnival Cruise Lines has an excellent air program. While the rates seem to be a bit higher than published rates, you get
a whole lot more for your money. For instance: when you request the air from Carnival, you do not have to pay it upfront.
You pay it off at the same time you pay off your cruise. Also, the ground shuttle is included in the air cost. So no additional
monies to pay for a shuttle or taxi service to take you to/from the Cruise Ship. Another reason why we recommend booking
through Carnival is that they have a dedicated emergency hotline just for their "fly-away" passengers, and would coordinate
any emergency arrangements should a delay or problem arise while traveling. Last but not least: if you pay for your airfare
& cruise package in full prior to the final deadline, and decide to cancel, your airfare is fully refundable. So the list goes on.
Q: Are we required to book our air through Carnival?
A: Absolutely not. You can purchase airfare on your own.
Q: What flight times are we required to book if we book on our own?
A: You should plan to arrive into Miami Airport no later than 2:00 PM. If you are flying into FLL (Ft. Lauderdale Airport), you
will need to arrive no later than 1:00 PM. You should plan your return flight no earlier than 12:00 Noon from Miami, and no
earlier than 1:00 PM from Ft. Lauderdale.
Q: Does Carnival offer travel insurance?
A: Yes. Carnival's insurance is $129 per person / $59 for ages 16 and under. If you are booking air on your own, the
insurance will not cover your flights. The insurance will, however cover your airfare that you purchase through Carnival.
Sometimes you can receive a better rate through Access America, depending on your age and total price of your package.
Also, Access America's insurance covers the entire vacation, so if you are purchasing airfare on your own, this would be
your best bet. To receive an instant quote, please visit: http://www.accessamerica.com
Q: What are the penalties for cancelling?
A: If you cancel prior to the final balance deadline, the penalty is $50.00 per person. After final balance deadline, the
penalty is $300.00 per person (you may also lose your airfare purchase -- Carnival handles this on a case by case basis).
Less than 30 Days from Sailing, you will be charged Full Penalty and no refunds will be given.
Q: Do you give any discounts for Children?
A: The triple & quad rates automatically include a 3rd/4th person rate that is substantially lower than the 1st two people in
the cabin. Therefore, the triple and quad rates are discounted, and that is what each person in the cabin end up paying with
the discount. Therefore, there are no additional discounts given.
Q: Why is there a different deposit amount & requirement for Triples & Quads?
A: Because of the limited availability of Triple and Quad cabins, these go very fast. Therefore, the Cruise Line cannot
guarantee the availability or the pricing of these cabins until a FULL deposit is received, per person, in this case $300. So
even if you request a Triple or Quad Cabin on your registration form, all we can do is check availability & pricing at the time
of your request. Carnival will not even hold such a room without a deposit. So full deposit of $300 per person will be
required to hold such a room.
Q: Will a passport be required for this sailing?
A: Yes. A valid U.S. Passport is required for this sailing. If you are not a U.S. Citizen, you should contact your Consulate or
Embassy for requirements for sailing. You are responsible for obtaining the appropriate documents required for sailing. If
you have any questions about this, please contact WeeBee Travel.
Q: Do you accept credit cards?
A: Yes, we accept all major credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, and Discover. Unfortunately however, we have to charge
a 3% fee for using this service. If you would rather avoid this fee, simply submit your deposit via check or money order. A
credit card authorization form is available for you to download from our Rates & Payment page. You can also find our
mailing address on this page.
Q: Who do I speak to if I have more questions?
A: You may email us at friends@weebeetravel.com, or call us at (866) 718-9760, Mon-Fri, from 9A - 7P (central time).
