A Land & Sea Package to Greece Featuring 3 Nights in Athens and a 4 Day Cruise to the Greek Islands
BY LAND: ATHENS
Our adventure begins in Athens.... the ancient city, capital of Greece, seat of both Greek Culture & Philosophy, the birthplace of the Olympic Games, and so much more. As ancient as Athens is, it is just as modern and cosmopolitan. With its Parthenon and Acropolis structures overlooking the city, you are always reminded of the rich history and culture that surrounds you. Here you will spend 4 days and 3 nights, exploring the City both on your own and with guided experts who will help you get the most out of your stay here (a half-day Athens Tour with admission to the famous Acropolis is included with your package). You will long remember your visit to this unforgettable, romantic, popular and classical city.....Athens, Greece.

THE ATHENS GATE HOTEL
Our hotel in Athens is the 4 Star Athens Gate Hotel, located right in the historic district of Athens, exactly opposite the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Gate which was constructed by the Athenians to welcome the Roman Emperor Hadrian. It is about 600 yards away from the Acropolis, which can be seen in full view from the Roof Garden bar & restaurant, where a complimentary breakfast is served for hotel guests. It is especially amazing at night, when the Acropolis is flooded with lights, shining brilliantly across the city. Shopping, restaurants and other city attractions are all within easy reach.
BY SEA: THE GREEK ISLANDS
After your stay in Athens, it's off to your 4 Day Cruise around the Greek Islands, via Louis Hellenic Cruises. Your Greek Island Cruise includes all your meals each day, as well as your onboard activities. Your days will be filled with sights and sounds of the most beautiful places in the world, while your nights will be spent sailing away in the Mediterranean Seas. You will see SIX (6) islands on this 4 day journey, as your ship acts as a large "ferry" taking you to each island to explore before continuing on to the next destination. On some days you will see two islands in one day. It's a fantastic way to see these Islands, without spending a lot of money on flights and hotel accommodations in each location. Surely your visit to these Islands will be unforgettable.

MYKONOS A busy, bustling island in the Cyclades group of islands, Mykonos is where you come for people watching, fun and relaxation. This will be a brief stop before our first night at Sea, but this "taste" of Mykonos will make you want to come back again and really explore what all the 'buzz' is about!
SANTORINI A visit to the Greek Islands would not be complete without a visit to Santorini. It is said that Santorini's sunset is one of the most beautiful in the world. Before the sun sets though you will be able to capture the stark white buildings & blue domes that has made this area so symbolic of Greece.

KUSADASI / EPHESUS A half-day visit to Kusadasi in Turkey will allow you the option of visiting the ancient city of Ephesus. Here you will be able to walk the steps that Paul walked during his missionary travels to this city. It is a MUST-see for all visitors to this Port! Other famous sites include the Temple of Artemis.
PATMOS Known first and foremost for the exiled location of the Apostle John, where he received the vision that inspired him to write the book of Revelation, the Island of Patmos is a small island, inhabited by only 3,000 people. You can visit the location of John's cell, now called Cave of the Apocalypse.

RHODES Rhodes is one of the larger islands in the Greek island chain, and is one of the most visited. The huge draw here are its beaches which are among some of the most beautiful in the world. It also boasts archaeological and medieval sights which are part of its rich history. This is an all-day visit.
CRETE (HERAKLION) Crete is the largest of all the Greek Islands, and for many, one of the most beautiful. The city Heraklion is the Capital City of Crete, with the densest population. One of the most noted attractions on the island is the Palace of Knossos, where you can find ancient Minoan paintings called Frescoes.
