| Spring Fever hits the Country and Travel is the Word: "Peak Season" is Here!! Well Spring has finally SPRUNG! With our Memorial Celebrations now behind us and a busy month of activity coming up, everyone is slowly but surely peeling off the layers of clothes and watching the last of the snow melt away as cold temperatures give way to mild temps and sunny skies. I don't know about you, but I have definitely got "Spring Fever"! And it seems the Travel Industry does too! Fare sales are popping up everywhere (we saw a ONE PENNY SALE last month for Spirit Airlines! Unbelievable!), Cruises are coming down on the costs to sell what's left of 2007 cruises, and the Caribbean's Peak Season is under way in Full Swing. This is also an important time of year for us, because we are nearing the end of our 2007 booking period for our Trips, and soon will be advertising trips for 2008. But this does not mean it's too late for you sign on for one of our 2007 Trips! No, in fact we have lots of space still available on our Orlando Getaway, our Bermuda & Hawaii Cruises, and our newly added Event, the Niagara Falls Weekend in August! Looking Ahead to 2008....AUSTRALIA!!!! We are very close to nailing down the details for our first announced trip of 2008.... we are headed "Down Under" to AUSTRALIA and NEW ZEALAND!!!! Avoiding the winter months of June through September, we are planning a visit in the early part of 2008, March or April. We have narrowed it down to two itineraries, and will soon decide which one we will do: it will either be a 12 day cruise aboard Princess Cruise Lines which will visit various parts of Australia and New Zealand, OR a 10 day land package including 5 nights stay in Sydney and 4 nights stay in Auckland with airfare included from Los Angeles. We are gathering all the facts now, and in keeping with our goal to keep our trips affordable, we want to try and get these rates out to you Friends as quickly as possible so that you can begin "counting the cost" and making a budget plan. One thing is for sure: this will NOT be a cheap, bargain type of package! You can expect to pay $3,000.00 and UP (minimum) for an itinerary such as this! Soon Be Over!!!
thousands of Americans who applied for a Passport between the months of January to March, then no doubt you have heard of the severe processing delays the Government has been experiencing. Some agencies reported processing times of up to 12 WEEKS for applications that would normally take only 6 weeks to process! I myself paid for expedited service in February and it took almost a month to arrive (normally 1-2 weeks). But good news! The government has boosted staffing to its passports agencies nationwide, and processing times should start coming down very soon! So all of you Summer Travelers need not fear! Looks like you will have your passport in time for your vacation after all! |
