| WeeBee to Add TWO New "Events" in '07: First is a NIAGARA FALLS WEEKEND in August! Hello Everyone! This month's newsletter is a little late getting out because we have been very busy trying to prepare news to report on our upcoming "Events" for 2007. As many of you know that have been subscribing to our Newsletter over the years, we have what we call "Group Trips" strictly for the Friends, and then we also host smaller "Events" during the year as well that we publish on our Events Page. The "Events" are basically 3-5 day trips, usually weekend trips, that are designed for Families in particular, with an emphasis on VALUE. We know that not everyone has the means or TIME to travel for 12 nights to the Mediterranean, let alone a week in Florida. So the "Events" are popular for those who just need to "get away" and don't want to break the bank! This year, I am planning on adding TWO new Events for 2007. The first one is going to be our NIAGARA FALLS WEEKEND in Ontario CANADA, the weekend of August 2-6, 2007 (4 nights). An email announcement will be forthcoming within the next few days to a week. Package will include transportation from NYC, hotel, and buffet breakfast daily, as well as admission to the world-famous Maid of the Mist boat ride that brings you as close to the Falls as you can get! So here is your opportunity to see one of the 7 Wonders of the World live and upclose! And the community of Niagara Falls in Ontario is chock full of things to do, including exciting Water Parks, World Class Shopping, fabulous Dining and More! UPDATES (new)!
changed AGAIN. We already know that as of January 2, 2007 those American Citizens traveling abroad by AIR ONLY will require a passport (this includes Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean with the exception of Puerto Rico, St. Thomas and St. Croix). However if you are taking a CRUISE to Canada, Mexico or the Caribbean, or crossing by LAND, the Passport rule will go into effect on January 1, 2008. Last month we reported June 2009. It has now changed to January 2008. However, we strongly recommend that you get a valid U.S. passport as soon as possible, and that you use it throughout your travels.

Record Snowfalls, Devastating Tornadoes and More.... Winter is in Full Swing!!! The last month has seen some of the worst winter weather on record! If you live in Upstate New York or know friends from there, you have heard about the devastating 100+ INCHES of snow that has fallen there over the last few weeks. At the time of publishing of this newsletter, the small town of Oswego, NY is expected to receive another FOOT of snow by the end of the day. It's amazing. How do the friends cope? Most have a very positive approach to all of this. They keep digging and they keep working and doing what they can despite the horrible conditions. We must keep these friends in our Prayers as they struggle to get back to a normal way of life! Then there were the devastating Tornadoes in Florida. It was reported by some Friends that some of the friends in that area lost their entire home! There were several fatalities reported (none that are Witnesses from what I have heard, but not sure if there is an official word from the brothers are the US Branch on that). These unusual twisters in Florida struck only 60 miles north of Orlando. Again, please keep the Friends and those who have lost loved ones in your prayers. |
