Since 1996, we've had a vision of what "WeeBee" was going to become.
Rudy and I were dating at the time, long-distance... and we began
making up slogans, that would begin with the words, "we be". Slowly
these ideas began to transform into what would become "WeeBee
Enterprises", a company that only existed in our minds and hearts, that
someday we would own. At first our vision was simple: put some
catchy phrases on a T-Shirt and sell them to all persons, big and small.
I would draw the cartoons / logos for the shirts (since I have a
background in Fine Art) and Rudy would be the brains behind the
machine, the marketing and financial strategist. Well, 2 years later, we
married, and WeeBee just stood a dream waiting to happen.
In 2002, after working many years in both administrative and Corporate
Travel, I lost my job, and decided that I wanted to go into business for
myself. I loved event-planning and travel services, so I decided to go
that route. But it seemed like a long road ahead. I had no money, no
systems in place. Not even a computer! But after praying about it to
Jehovah, and with a group trip already in place by June 2002, I put my
mind and heart to it, and I would do whatever it took to get started. I
pitched the idea to Rudy, who in turn just said two words to me....
"Start WeeBee". Sure it wasn't our T-Shirt dream that manifested itself
while we were dating... but it was a dream nonetheless. WeeBee
Travel was born.
